Happy New Year GBC! Strangely, I could see your post from my blog at least an hour before it appeared on your blog. Mysteries of 'tinternet, I suppose.....
First Footing? Naw, too busy trying to fix the hot water tank! Would you believe it, New Years Eve was spent rushing to the plumbers shop to purchase a new ballcock set up cos when someone went to tie it up so that they could drain the hot water tank to fit a new element...they snapped the ballcock clean off! Tsk tsk. Then when that was purchased, it took most of the afternoon to drain the tank, followed by much hammering, jumping up and down, sore fingers and some blue air. New Years Day was much more fun, that was full of flame throwers, burning green foamy insulation stuff on the tank and a sharp knife. GRRRRRRR. In the end, I put it all back together and turned the pump on again. The tank leaks worse than it did before, and we're still running the hot water on the instant (ie EXPENSIVE) boost system instead of the economy thingy. So no, there was no first footing, hehe.
