Problem Solved.

Not that there was a problem (well there was, when we were snowed in for 3 weeks, followed by a spell of wet muddy weather, followed by another 2 weeks of being unable to get the car or van up or down the drive due to more snow), but more of a query as to which 4x4 to add to the fleet of vehicles at Cubbie Towers. Well that's all sorted now, with the help of Grampian Classic MCC member Geoff who spotted this little gem at a local dealers yard and negotiated a bargain deal for us. Thanks Geoff, and thanks Kwak for keeping your eyes peeled too. Now we've finally got a 4x4 you can guarantee there won't be any more snow for about twenty years!

Oh yes, well it had to be a Limited one of course.

Looks good GBC, nice to drive?

Thinking about Cubbie you could get one of the rack things that bolt on to the towbar, just like the trials folk use

Is that a hitch point under the yellow area on the bumper? my screen is so miniscule it's hard to make out. Always trailers...or if that is a receiver type hitch point...maybe you could have a welding friend make up a plug in bike carrier? At least you have your foul weather truck . Hairy Larry

Oh yes, that's much more like it! I take it that when you went to view it, you took Cubbie along to check that she would fit in!
By the way, I'd invest in a new tax disc before a Policeman spots the one you've got!

I like the new "Monster truck" it will certainly be a boon in the bad weather. I think it might be difficult getting Cubbie on board though, you might have to swap him for a Raleigh Chopper ;-)

Tis a beauty to drive Kawa, very light and responsive, holds the road really well for such a big beast. Going to keep an eye open for one of those carriers, but spose that spare wheel thingy would have to come off - not that it's any good there at the mo, cos we don't have a key for it.

Yep Larry, that's a tow bar right enough.

Don't worry UN, tax all sorted!!

Raleigh Chopper! Stu, what you like!

I seem to remember the weather was worse than that. I seem to remember three months when we couldn't get out in our own vehicle for the majority of time. I also seem to remember being towed backwards down the hill in snow, ice and mud by next door neighbour with his tractor, which was very kind of him, but I thought I was going to lose my spine. The last time I had that much fun was when I had a go in a Fiat Uno 4 WD over the local gravel pits. I think I did lose my spine that time. Beat the Landrovers though!!

Hope this Beast is reliable, and doesn't cost too much to keep, and then all will be peace and harmony. Roll on the lambing, planting and sowing et.,

Looks to be a good un GBC and Mrs BC. Just the thing for around the farm to do the lambing and such. Hook up a trailer for hauling hay, bikes, building supplies etc and it'll pay for itself. Can even go four wheeling in it too!!!;)

Thanks everyone for all your interest and the constructive comments. I think the bike thingy on the back is a great idea. Since we got the car some friends have lent us a proper metal trailer for the summer, so we hope to make inroads into the multiple tasks that need doing. Maybe, good things do come, if somewhat belatedly, to those who wait!
