My 30 seconds of fame.

Might even be a bit less than that. But that's probably a good thing! You might remember last summer I, along with a bunch of guys from several VMCC sections and classic clubs, took part in the filming of Britain's Best Drives, with Richard Wilson (you didn't believe it? Neither did he) and last night it was shown on BBC4. That's some sort of digital channel thing I think, we don't have such modern luxuries here in hillbilly country. I had a quick look for a replay of it on the internet last night but couldn't find anything, then good old Kawa came up with a link to the BBC iPlayer. Of course, why didn't I think of that? Anyway, get a cuppa, sit back for half an hour and enjoy the Scottish scenery. If you don't have half an hour to spare, fast forward it about 15 mins to see the bikes, and no, there are no prizes for spying the lesser spotted GBC and Cubbie. Oh, sorry to our overseas viewers, apparently you have to be in the UK to watch the film. Maybe you techno-clued up chaps can find a way round that...

I'm off to feed the sheep and then over to Mintlaw to make some arrangements for the Plus1. Y'all have a nice day now.

Hehe, I'm not sure 'film star' sums it up Stu. Hehe Kawa, you probably feel the cold more when you're old....

Excellent! Good to see you got in a mention of 'Tiger Cub' too! ;-)

So, I see. You just go and leave those of us on the left side of the pond out of the loop on this one.
I'm not enough of a geek to figure this stuff out. Oh well.

Just heading off to the Speedway up at Armadale, hope its no too cold there,I'll ask some of the old guys if it is.

Oh yes! a real film star now suppose you will be spending more time painting your fingernails now and paying someone else to fix cubbie with all the millions you will get.
I am awarding myself a G.B.C. T Shirt for spotting the deliberate mistake by someone who will remain anonymous (give yourself a slap) B.S.A. stands for BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS.

Rumour has it that it took several takes before GBC managed to say "Tiger Cub" instead of "It's a Cubbie"....lol
Stuart ;-)

Stu, you'll earn yourself a slap if you carry on like that. Good to see you fitting in nicely with the tone of this place!

Sorry Darrell, I assumed it being the World Wide Web, you guys would be able to see it too. Write to the Beeb and complain - someone tells me there are a couple of interesting letters in CBG this month, so maybe writing in does get a response sometimes.

Speedway? Is that like Cubbieway?

Hey Slick, did you know you got a Special Mention from the Head Judge in the Photographic Competition?

Gotta go, nails to paint.

"B.S.A. stands for BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS."

Oh, big Davie told me it stands for something else....something I can't possibly publish here on this family site...

Thanks, I did see i got a Special mention for the Waves rolling in on the bay, it was much appreciated.Thank you Judge, just shows what you can do when you get a camera fone.
It is also so much better taking pictures of waves when you are not bouncing about on them for 28 days at a time.
Re: C.B.G. Letters, she did fix an electrical problem with my bike once.

Was talking to Raymond, who made the British Small Arms comment, today and knowing that hes a bit of a wind up merchant asked him what it was about. It was just to see if Mr Wilson would agree with what he said and didnt think it would go to the final cut.He also told me about him getting the street cleaner in one Villages they stopped in to go over to Johns sidecar outfit and start complaining about oil leaks and saying these things shouldnt be on the road .But instead of John taking the bait someone else, dont know who, started defending the bike much to Raymonds amusement.Hes got that on vid along with other stuff from the two days.Should have a copy of the DVD soon.
