Hobart Day Tomorrow.

Here be the Hobart I mentioned.......with Shorty on board at the first Scottish Vintage Training Day last May. Why have I waited until it's snowing to go and collect it? Don't ask.

UPDATE, or should I say, DOWNdate. Johny, owner of the Hobart, has reported about 4" of snow over in his neck of the woods out west, so we've agreed to postpone Hobart Day. I hope this isn't going to be like Groundhog day....

HOBART (England 1901-1923)
A big,Coventry-based factory which also supplied engines, frames and other parts to motorcycle assemblers. Built own machines with single-cylinder and V-twin engines, but also used own two-strokes as well as proprietary engines made by Morris,JAP,Villiers and Blackburne.
170cc Hobart two-strokes were popular. The last model built was a 246cc two-stroke with internal flywheel. McKenzie motorcycles also came from the Hobart works.

Quote from Erwin Tragatsch. Illustrated Encyclopedia of Motorcycles.

It is a very nice bike to ride and looks just as they should. I could also get both feet on the ground at the same time, not sure if you will seeing that you are less tall than I am

You really shouldn't mention anything to do with 'SEEING' or SIGHT or EYES right now Shorty.

I am in agony and some people treat it as an opportunity to add more hurt. Its at times like this you know who your friends are, so the big tin of chocs that were meant for you are being eaten as I type. please excuse the spelling but I can only see the screen with one eye.

It's starting to look more like Groundhog Day all the time. According to the gogglebox you are up to your eyes in snow again, lets hope it dosn't last too long this time :-0
