News news NEWS!

Well I'm glad you all seemed to enjoy SFB's training day tale, hopefully it will encourage a few of you to book a place at the Scottish training day on 23rd May - remember though, you have to book by the end of March.

I've got some news for you, oh yes, exciting news, you could even say it's big news.....but I can't tell you now as it's late and I'm tired and I'm off out early tomorrow, so check back over the weekend to see what the news is....no really, it WILL be worth it....

PS Hairy Larry...reading you loud and clear, great pics you're sending through, thanks.

Big News? Your 'mystery present' wasn't a proposal of marriage and an engagement ring, was it? If so, are you going to accept? Does this mean you've met a 'Gorgeous Biker Chap'?
OR,
Are you expecting more than lambs this year? Is there going to be a little 'Gorgeous Biker Baby'? Just think - in a few years they'll be the only 'Cubbie' in their school!
I think we should be told!

Heavens above U.N. you've been reading too much Barbara Cartland.
Calm down, you'll be poorly.

Could the announcement be a trip to this side of the pond?

"Sir Andrew Cubie, the lawyer whose work has heavily influenced Scottish education policy, has been appointed chairman of a Perthshire school for children with special needs."

Well it amussed me when I read it .....

Cubbie has special needs too. Maybe Sir Cubie would care to send some money my way to help me look after Cubbie!

UN, far more interesting / exciting than marriage and babies!

Darrell, ooh now, there's a plan. Saw an ad on TV last night for one of our bankrupt banks basically trying to say they'll look after their customers, whatever their requirements, and the theme of the ad was a guy on a bike who wanted to do some sort of round the world trip...

Dear Mr Bank Manager...

You're a senior shareholder in Kraft and following their takeover of Cadbury, you're getting to run a chocolate factory!

You've got a book/movie/TV series/computer game deal based on 'Cubbie's Counties'?

You've been spinning us all a tale about spending winter clearing snow and fixing sheds, and you're going to present us with your fleet of immaculately restored motorcycles you've been working on?

OK blog fans. If there's going to be a 'Cubbie's Counties' movie, who would you like to see playing GBC and Mrs GBC?
Also, who would you like to play you in it? (This is easy for me as my similarity to George Clooney has often been noted).

Julia Roberts to play the starring role of GBC
Meryl Streep as Mrs BC
Cubbie would have to appear as himself as best support actor.
As for myself I can only think of Yul Brynner (it's a hair thing)

See you all at next year's Oscars!

Um, which particular similarity is that U.N?

'Cubbie's Counties' movie' UN has no one told you that the filming for that ended last year and it had some big names in it too.

hmmmmm....Clooney's taken eh...I guess Clint Eastwood for me....George rides a Hollywood H.D. Hear Clint still got his Norton...way cooler....ha..ha...ok GBC...make our day....whats the news? Hairy Larry

My bet is it being a TV series. The suspicious bulge in the package were the keys to a big single cylinder Panther outfit and GBC is to tour Scotland with a celebrity in the sidecar?

No? Oh well. I'm enjoying the intrigue so I think you shouldn't tell us for another few days. Everyone can guess and whoever's closest (or most amusing!) gets a prize?

if i can't be played by Julie Walters I'm gonna sulk - And you don't want me to do that. Meryl can be the understudy.

U N said...

I was going to suggest Helena Bonham-Carter or Kate Winslet to play Mrs GBC, but since she was sarcastic about George Clooney playing me, perhaps Catherine Tate would be better - in her 'sweary nan' character.
As for her Gorgeousness, I think Keira Knightley would be ideal. (I can't think of any other young actresses!)

Of course, we could all be wrong and there's not a movie being made. When GBC said there would be BIG news, perhaps she meant that she was going to get Katie Price style, er, enhancements!

Steady on chaps!

Mrs. B.C. said...

Sarcastic, Moi? surely not. Who's Katie Price?

Un you could be on to something with your first post, me thinks, after all GBC never jumped down you throat.... did she

U N said...

Come on GBC, tell us the news! we're getting bored with all this posting!
