Can yar guess...?

17.5 is a figure I need to remember in relation to Cubbie. Can you guess what it's to do with? Is that too hard, do you need a clue? Go on, have a guess first, see what you come up with.

Oh guys, you're good, but maybe I need to shed some LIGHT on the subject....

Ok, do you give up? Some very good guesses there, some that didn't 'alf make I laugh, but I gotta let you know it was oh so simple. It was 17.5 turns of the headlight adjuster screw! I was told in no uncertain terms by Mr President that if I took the headlight apart, make sure I put it back together properly, so that the beam is set in the right direction, rather than down on the front wheel like it was before he fitted a proper screw complete with spring so that it could actually be adjusted rather than just held securely in place. Tee hee, well, that was a fun game, shall we play another?

17.5? Well, I'll guess that it's not the compression ratio...unless you've turned Cubbie into a fire-breathin' Dragbike! Hairy Larry

Um, how many kicks to prime?

Comfortable cruising speed?

Tickover?

How many times the clutch lever needs to be pulled in to free it?

cc of oil leaked per hour/day/week?

Nope, sorry, yer GBCness I've no blinkin' idea about this, or many other things.

Average distance in miles before it breaks down?

Average number of minutes of riding Cubbie it takes before you wish you were riding Skorpy?

Bars of chocolate consumed per week?

Do I win a prize?

HP? Length in some unknown unit of measure? Tire pressure? Oh, I know...max speed.

17.5 r.p.m. redline? or 17.5 m.p.h. top speed? or 17.5 miles per pint of oil?

Nice to know he's home from his holidays in Wales. I hope he didn't bring any of those leeks back with him.

When was the last time cubbie broke down!

Is it 17.5 degrees as in timing in a full advance condition? Hairy Larry

Since you said 'shed some LIGHT', is it how many feet ahead you can see on a dark night with the standard headlight?

How many watts the alternator puts out?

Is it the brightness of the headlight measured in lumens? A 60W bulb is about 800 lumens so 17.5sounds about right for a Cub light :-D

You're not using a 17.5 amp fuse are you? A quick fag packet estimate for all the lights plus the horn would be maybe 12 amps so 17.5 would give a bit of an allowance for spikes? (Although 17.5 is quite a rare size. :-/ )

Number of volts needed at the battery to power your electronic screen, spotlights, fog lights, remotely adjusted suspension, heated grips, seat and footrests, hairdryer, curling tongs, SATNAV and refrigerator.

All I can think of is 17.5 psi for the front tyre ... but that's got nothing to do with light ...

You've had a super efficient headlamp bulb fitted that only uses 17.5 Watts ?

Intruiged ...

O.K. Now you can park Cubbie on a level spot in front of the shed, and trace an outline of the beam on the shed door, so if you forget that number...yes, you sure had us scratchin' our noggins on that one. Hairy Larry
