Shhhhhhhh! Not so loud, some of us are still snoozing... actually at 5:08 in the afternoon, I un-tarped my 1977 CB-550, and proceeded to wash off months of dust, pollen, and cobwebs. Put it on the charger and by 5:45 it was purring like a kitten. Now to see about visiting the license man and the insurance man. Then I can go bag a Norton over in the next county ...We'll see if you can decode a pic from this phone. (Mind you this bike is a work in progress...no making fun of the temp seat...it was only 2 dollars at a swap meet...the bike I got for 200.00 dollars.) Hairy Larry
Well i was up nice and early with the sound from plenty of british bikes at a great show called glamis, held in the grounds of glamis castle. An excellent day on the sunday but not so nice on the satarday, but the beer tent was good on the satarday night.
And I thought I was an early rising on Sundays and days off.
Spent a bit of time pottering about in the shed. It's like being in a Turkish bath-house due to the temps and metal construction.
Did some rearranging of bits an bobs. Still looks like a tip though.
Sorry, no bike stuff for me. Tendinitis of the elbow has kept me off the bike for a couple of months now.
So, I had to go diving instead.
I was just shopping and visiting Auntie Ethel.Bike stuff has to be down the list a bit as other bits of life takes over and we dont all work wi bike related things.
Well I dunno, what a mixed lot you are! Decoding phones, beer tenting, Turkish bathing, diving and visiting Aunty Ethel. Hope you all had as good a weekend as I did. Should get some pics up in the next day or two for ya.
Took Rhys to my rent free mansion in Newport. Ate ice cream went to pub. Mate and son came over from Belgium late pm so it was only polite to drink his gift of case of Leffe. Induces the same paranoia as Stella but removes the urge to don a vest and punch people cos your legs dont work.
I spent the weekend camping on a farm in Derbyshire, with a very enjoyable rideout over the moors. Gorgeous sunshine and good company.
The rent free mansion with ice cream sounds good, as does sunshine and good company.
Heres some pics from Kawa on Sunday, the first 14 in 'out and about'.
